Designed by Shigeyuki Mitsui in 1990, the GEL-LYTE III silhouette retains its iconic split-tongue formation. It was a feature that initially debuted on the GEL-LD RACER shoe. Meanwhile, key components, like its signature GEL technology unit in the midsole, provide everyday comfort.

Designed in partnership with the Boston-based retailer, the Concepts x ASICS Gel Lyte 3 ‘Otoro’ takes inspiration from Japanese cuisine, featuring a name — and coloring — that nods to the fattiest and most desirable cut of tuna. Split-tongue construction allows for easy entry into the layered suede upper, finished in varying shades of pink and accented with a Concepts wordmark on the lateral heel of the right shoe.

Taken from the two-piece ‘Changing of the Seasons Pack,’ the ASICS Gel Lyte 3 OG ‘Momijigari Aki’ showcases a rich color palette that portends the coming of fall. Burgundy suede paneling makes up the majority of the upper, along with tonal leather tiger stripes and pink perforated suede on the toe box and quarter panel. ‘Aki’ is embroidered atop the split tongue, which translates to ‘autumn’ in English.
